It's Official!

It's official! I'm a resident of Sweden!

Before we left the U.S. we had to apply for our Swedish visas, but we still had to get finger printed and photographed. So two weeks ago (March, 21st to be exact), Andrew and I hoped on a train down to Malmo. It was quite a funny trip, as Andrew and I only got 2 hours of sleep the night before, and we were still a little tipsy. Don't worry, we didn't drive. As I said, we took the train, and then a cab.

My Walk From Krusbäret to the Halmstad City Center

This is the walk from Krusbäret (the apartment where I live) to the Halmstad City Center. Being this is were all the shops, restaurants, and clubs are, my friends and I find ourselves walking or biking this rout daily. It's quite a nice walk, especially now that the snow has melted, and the trees have started blossoming. This particular day also had grey skies that were less than idea.

I Mustache You A Question

Krusbäret is the name of the building I live in in Sweden. It's an old retirement hom thats been converted to a college dorm, and during the summer it's a hostel. Anyways, thats a different story.

So last night all the students living in Krusbäret threw a party because why not. It was a great time, and as usual I brought some shenanigans to the party.

My First Video Blog!

Heres my first video blog!
I carries my gopro with me almost everywhere for the first four days while I traveled to Sweden, and this is the result. I know it's a little long, but I promise it's entertaining.

A Little Taste of Home

Made some good ol' American apple pie tonight for my International friends to try. Also made me feel a little more at home. Ironically, it was the first time I've ever made apple pie, let alone, completely from scratch. I have to say, it came out pretty dame good!

Where's Everyone From?

So I'm taking a Swedish Language class, and it's FILLED with other international students (naturally). Our teacher asked everyone where they were from for an exercise, and these were the results. All around me are people from all over the world! So amazing!

On The Train to Halmstad!

So it's Sunday, day three of my trip. We're on a train traveling to Halmstad right now. I'll write more about it later, I just thought I'd show you all my view from the train.

Sports Bars FTW!!

So we're at some bar in Copenhagen, and everyone is watching some sports game with Denmark vs. Spain. I don't know what the sport is though. It's like a mix between soccer, football, and dodge ball.
Watching a sports in bars reminds me of Ale House!!!

We Made It!

Well, we made it to Copenhagen at least. We are staying in a hotel here for two nights before we head to Sweden.

First impression of Europe?
"IT'S SNOWING! WTF?!"

*A few hours later*

But for real, we walked around for a while, and got some dinner. This place is great!
It will take a bit to get used to the language, and other cultural differences, but were working on it!
To 'cheers', they say "SKAL" with a ruffled accent.

Half Way There!

**I don't have wifi as I write this, so I'll be posting it a few hours after I write it**

So as I write this, I'm on the plane on my way to Copenhagen. It's 2:30am (in the U.S.) and it's been a long day, but I'm having trouble catching some shut eye. So I'm just gonna write about my day.

First post! Waiting in the airport is the worst part

So this is nothing special. Just the first post of my 5 month long trip. Andrew and I are currently waiting in the Fort Lauderdal Air Port.
I will have a better "first blog" later on when I have some more time to sit and type.
